Project Preview

MSIStudio allows you to preview the content of the Windows Installer database tables without having to actually build the project. This is useful if you would like to examine the effects of changing parts of the project without having to build or leave the IDE. With large projects of many files and especially with compression it can take some time to build the project before being able to examine the output. Selecting the Preview toolbar button will display a preview of the tables in the main window. Some project types don't produce a .msi file as their final output so it no possible to see the raw database tables. With this feature it is possible.
