MSI File Comparison

MSIStudio can be used to compare the contents of two Windows Installer msi setup packages. The contents of the files are displayed within the IDE with color coding to indicate modified and added data.

Summary information data is also compared.

From the Tools menu, select the Compare Files option. Select the two files to compare, the first being designated the base and the second the target. Blue and yellow indicate tables and rows that are unique to either the base or target msi databases. Light blue indicates modified tables and rows.
